A couple of my early memories of getting to know Dennis includes, sitting on a bench in the Dana College Student Center talking about many things while he waited for his weekly call from his dad. It was so unusual - his dad had the number of the pay phone and called at the same time every Sunday night. Another great memory was walking arm in arm down into town from the hill Dana was built on to go to George's Tavern for a George's Hot Dog - it had meaty chili on the dog topped with mustard, relish, & chopped onions. and the roll was a soft steamed hot dog roll. Yum!

I've known Dennis since the time we started junior high together. That is also the time we began playing in band together. We continued to do so through jr. high and sr. high until graduation. Little did we know we'd resume that connection years later as members of the Boyertown Alumni Marching Unit.
The lifeline of BAMU has basically paralleled the timeline of Dennis and Marta's marriage. This seems very appropriate, as both of them have been integral parts of the success of that organization. I'm very grateful to have been blessed by their friendship for many, many years.
